Meet the team

We are very proud to have opened Cabri Centre in 2007 and provide this service to the people of Cabri and surrounding area. We opened our second location in Abbey only 20 minutes down the highway in January 2024.

The importance of having a place where our children can go to be safe, learn, grow, and feel a sense of belonging is profound and should not be taken for granted. The Board of Directors will continue to work tirelessly to ensure these qualities in our early learning centre. We are committed to keeping this high standard of care for our children now and into the future. Our philosophy focuses around the Play Based model, allowing children to learn through play and exploration. Let’s watch our children flourish with knowledge, understanding and growth in all areas of their lives, under the care of our dedicated staff.

Sincerely,

Board Of Directors of the Ever Green Early Learning Centre Inc.

Meet the Teachers

“…my two children have truly thrived.”

Ever Green Early Learning Centre is an incredible asset to our community, providing a safe, nurturing environment where my two children have truly thrived. Since enrolling them at the Cabri Centre, they’ve grown socially and developmentally, thanks to the dedicated staff and engaging programs. Both centres are essential for local families, offering quality childcare that allows parents to work while knowing their children are in great hands.

I & F’S PARENTS

Meet the Board

  • Sydney joined the EGELC Board as Chair in January 2024, shortly after she and her family moved back to Cabri after living away for 15 years. A big aspect of making the move home possible was the availability of quality childcare for her two young children. She is happy to support the EGELC team in keeping the facilities thriving for the benefit of families in our communities for years to come. She loves to see many of the people she grew up with from Cabri and surrounding communities now choosing to raise their own families in small town Saskatchewan.

  • I grew up on a farm outside Abbey, SK and now live on a farm near Lancer with my husband and two children. In addition to the Ever Green Early Learning Cente board I also sit on the Lancer Agricultural Society board as treasurer. Growing up and being a part of these communities is something I hold close to my heart and after living away for many years I knew I always wanted to be back in the heart of small-town Saskatchewan. I truly believe our small towns are so lucky to have the Ever Green Early Learning Centres and with our communities and families in the area constantly growing we need to invest in the future of our centres. I hope to learn a lot from this role on the board while also bringing some knowledge and experience to help our centres succeed.

  • I am a mother of two, both in the centre, which means I am invested in the wellbeing, best practices and ensuring the centre continues to provide the best educational and supportive care possible. I moved to the area 7 years ago from Hague where I was working as a Youth Care Worker with at risk youth from across Canada in a facility outside Saskatoon. I now live on a farm north of Lancer with my husband and 2 children. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

  • Born and raised in the misty coastal vibes of Vancouver, I traded ocean views for endless wheat fields when I landed in Saskatchewan back in 2015. Now, I'm a proud single mom holding down the fort in tiny Cabri, where my five-year-old daughter keeps me on my toes and my massive Great Dane, Moose, keeps potential troublemakers at bay.

My two cats, Missy and Albert, provide the comic relief and occasional chaos, while I navigate motherhood with the subtlety of a bulldozer. Let's just say my blunt personality isn't just a trait—it's a lifestyle. I've been known to say exactly what everyone's thinking, which has earned me both side-eye glances and loyal friends who appreciate radical honesty.

From the rainforests of BC to the wide-open Saskatchewan skies, I'm proof that life's most interesting chapters are often the ones we least expect. Motherhood, sass, and a whole lot of prairie spirit—that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

  • Kayla lives outside of Lancer with her husband and 2 daughters and expecting a 3rd child in early 2025. She was born and raised on a farm outside of Eston. After high school she moved to Saskatoon where she took her LPN and worked for 10 years there. She’s lived in the community for the past 5 years and she’s so excited to be part of a small town community again! She joined the Ever Green Early Learning Center Board in January of 2024 and is excited to be a part of it. As a mom with 2 young children she knows how important it is to have child care accessible for our communities and is excited to see Ever Green Learning Center grow.

  • Hi, my name is Shae-Lynn Stuart. I grew up on a farm just outside of Swift Current, graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, and married Clint - a small town guy. I enjoy living in Cabri, knowing my neighbours, and I like the small town way of life. We bought and I operate Pics Place, and we ranch with Clint’s family, so we are here to stay. We have a soon to be three year old daughter, Maeve, who attends EGELC. It is important to us that this daycare continues to be here and strives to provide excellent care. It is an essential component in making this small town work, and I believe in being involved, so I joined the board. I am interested in hearing from you! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please reach out.

  • Jessi was born and raised on a farm and grew up in a small rural community.   Now she lives 30 minutes away in another small community of Lancer where she is raising her family.  She recently became a new board member in January 2024.   This is all new to her and she is ready to learn lots and to grow with the EGELC team in hopes to help it thrive for the years to come.  Jessi is very excited to be apart of this group of like minded individuals.  By assisting in making decisions that will help us continue to provide a safe, secure, family-like environment that will aid in the success of your child’s development.   If you have any questions or concerns as a parent you can definitely reach out to myself at (306) 671-0068, or send an email.

  • My name is Madison Sorsdahl and I have been on the Ever Green Early Learning Centre board for about 8 months now.  I am originally from Ontario, and moved to Cabri 4 years ago. Cabri very quickly became home, with all the opportunity & wonderful community I knew it was the right place to be. I wanted to get more involved in the community, and heard about an opening on the daycare board. Seeing as I want to have kids of my own someday, it felt like a good way to have a voice in my children’s future. I wanted to get involved with fundraisers & community events and Ever Green felt like the perfect way to do that. I am so glad I made the decision to join the board, and I can’t wait to see what is yet to come for us!
